TANSMAN A. SONATINA DA CAMERA

Tansman (1897 1986) was a prolific composer of finely crafted chamber music. The Sonatina da camera, published here for the first time, brings together the flute, the harp and the string trio, a delicately balanced, limpid formation often used in French music. Composed in 1952, the work belongs to the composers mature style, characterized by a concentration of means, great rhythmic vitality and an intensely lyrical expression.
